Cooperative Education Programs
Co-ops are an extended internship (semester(s) plus winter and/or summer) and are great for students seeking in-depth, hands-on work experience. Students apply course knowledge in real-life settings while networking with mining professionals. In most cases, students take a semester off during the co-op; however, there are opportunities for students to take classes part-time. Most co-ops are paid, with students making between $15-$30 per hour.
